Just six hours by road from Cusco, and one hour from the Patria airstrip where light aircraft make the twenty-five minute flight to the Inca capital, the Paradise Lodge is nestled in the cloud forest between the Kosñipata and San Pedro rivers, with magnificent views of the endlessly varied green tones of the surrounding forest.
Beginning in the historic city of Cusco, this program offers a range of activities as it takes you through colonial towns and jungle villages and into the incredible biological diversity of the Amazon basin. You will begin by visiting highlands and valleys on your way to the colonial town of Paucartambo, then continue to the cloud forest where you will see Peru’s national bird, the cock-of-the-rock, in its daily ritual.

A short boat ride will lead us to a spectacular hidden lake, known as Lake of Sachavacayoc.

A short fly to Puerto Maldonado is the beginning of a unique trip in the Tambopata River. Here we can see the vegetation changes from colonized deforested areas to virgin rainforest.
Another amazing trail will be through Lake Condenado, where we can observe its rich bird and acquatic life.

We will also enjoy a walk into the terra firme forest and an exploration by foot and paddle canoe of the lake system of Condenado.
We will also visit the Tambopata National Reserve where the isolated MACAW & PARROT CLAY LICK "EL CHUNCHO" is situated.
